2011 Petit Verdot
Full bodied and expressive, Petit Verdot offers a luscious bouquet of blueberry, blackberry, and plum. Dark fruits precede ethereal aromas of lavender and herbal floral notes of violet. Smooth, full-bodied tannins complement a gravelly minerality creating a rich, chewy mouthfeel. Extended aging in French oak softens the tannic “little greens” and produces lightly smoky notes. This mature wine pairs nicely with braised short ribs, spicy adobo dishes, kabobs, and grilled Portobello.
